About L.

Learn L.’s areas of practice.

I started my firm with the goal of providing professional, friendly, and cost-effective representation in entertainment law, business law, copyright, trademark, and other areas relevant to creative individuals and businesses. I am blessed to have a practice that allows me to combine my legal, business, and musical experience to help others pursue their artistic and entrepreneurial dreams.

Having counseled clients and managed companies in diverse industries, I understand that everyone encounters legal and business issues that can seem overwhelming at times. I also recognize that those with the greatest need for assistance are sometimes the most reluctant to hire a lawyer because of the perceived cost and hassle. By using client-focused technology and offering innovative alternatives to hourly fees, I pride myself on delivering professional, friendly, and tailored representation to my clients.

Fantastic source of information and advice for an artist setting out in the entertainment industry
As a novelist self-publishing for the first time, I didn't know what I didn't know about copyright protection and infringement, or even such dangers as unintentional defamation. Kevin helped me navigate those waters, performing a complete review of my book, and giving me the feedback I needed to make informed decisions about the level of risk I was willing to undertake. In so doing, he (in a way) trained me regarding what is and isn't safe to put into print, thus helping me avoid altogether such pitfalls in my projects that followed. And always, his explanations were offered in a manner I could easily understand, despite my inability to speak legalese. Since that first book, he has performed additional reviews for me, and has assisted in securing several other copyrights and trademarks. On a personal level, he is positive and friendly, easy to work with, and fun to use as a sounding board for new projects that strike my fancy. I look forward to working with him for many years to come!
