Mr. Griffin worked with us to get a settlement for our complicated case that involves physical assault in a medical setting. He explained legal jargon to us and helped us understand our options. I reached out to Davis to help me with a traffic case in Belle Meade. He made multiple suggestions of things to do to help get me out of the ticket. We did all the items he suggested and the judge was fairly impressed and almost dismissed it until he saw at the last minute that I had done driving sch...ool just over 3 years ago. My fault for not letting Davis know this ahead of time. At that point, Davis and I consulted and he went into full lawyer mode and prepared to give me a solid defense. We reapproached the judge and the judge complimented him on his “lawyering”, but ultimately I decided to take a guilty charge. Davis was prepared to fight it and thought we had a chance, but I decided it wasn’t worth his time or effort. The judge waived the fine due to the efforts of Davis. Overall, Davis was pleasant to work with, willing to go to battle for me, helpful giving advice and answering questions leading up to the trial (and during), and might have won the case if I had let him pursue not guilty. Had I been up for committing more time to this process (may have needed to come back to court again), I am confident Davis could have gotten a not guilty decision for me. Therefore I think he is still worth the 5 stars, and the fact that I am giving 5 stars even with the way it played out should tell you something about the kind of lawyer he is!
