Bad business

He was retained to domesticate and request a new parenting plan for me. I was divorced in 2001 in GA. He took my case in 2006. This July 2012 I get a bill from him for this 6 year old case. I was very upset and it took me 3 weeks to talk with him, his receptionist refused to let me speak with him. ...I decided to do some snooping and found my domestication order the case I paid $1800.00 had never been filed with the courts. He finally let me in to see him once I. let it be known I had this information and to my amazement my parenting plan as well had never been signed by the judge . What a mess. After all was said and done he filed my orders with the courts 6years later and he had the nerve to say" I won't even charge you for the work. STAY AWAY he has no clue.

Be aware!!!

I recently used this attorney for my divorce until I fired him. He will say everythng you want to hear to get you to sign on the dotted line and then it will change. Especially his fees! His work is sloppy and he doesn't prepare for your case until the day of but bills you for more. The bills are inc...onsistent, he doesn't forward paper work to the opposing attorney on time. You may have to make a couple of different trips to his office for the same thing. He doesn't review your file before or while he is meeting you unless you bring up something specific and he has to go back and find it. The document he has access to right away is a billing statment. A decision was made on my case without my approval. They didn't have knowledge of my Deposiion date in within a week of the date and then changed it to a mediation the day of. After that I attemtpted communication with the office through numerous emails and call with no response for over a week or two and then the decided to repond, and give me incorrect information about court dates and never forward my mediation paper work until almost 2 months later. This attorney has a history of poor customer service in the office and with clients cases. His license have been suspended 3 years prior for similar circumstances. I hope you read all the reviews before you make a decision to move forward.

Rude and Unproffesional

I hired this firm to do an uncontested divorce that already had all the paperwork done. I was told 3 different amounts to pay and when it came time to actually get to a court date they hit me with another bill that they refused to explain to me unless they billed me for more time.I never even spoke t...o anyone from this office after the day I signed my papers up until I called to get my court date. The front desk person is rude and unproffesional and yelled at me for asking him to explain something to me as in the services I had already paid for. This experience was almost as bad as the divorce itself. Do yourself a favor and don't waste you time or your money on this firm.

poor lawyer

Mr. turner handled my divorce in 2004 it sounded great until the retainer was paid then everything changed, he wont take a call unless you call the emergency number so he can bill a ridiculas ammount of money, he conducts his interviews with witnesses outside the courtroom 5 minutes before the hearin...g, it takes a month (usually) to get in to see him and then sometimes hes not there, during the trial he asked me what do I ask now like Im suppose to know, during the 10 months I had to deal with him he went through 6 parallegals, 1 which spent my money telling me her family problems, and dont expect to get a court order from him anytime soon, even the clerks office said they have called for weeks and he doesnt respond anyway he forced me into bankruptcy and I filed a complaint against him dont retain him

So disappointed!

Mr. Turner sounded so wonderful on my first visit to him. I thought my divorce would finally take place. He promised he was the best divorce atty in Nashville and he promised he worked quickly and efficiently. I could call him anytime. He took my money up front and promised me a speedy divorce that ...would be covered in the price I paid up front. That visit was the only good experience I had with Robert Turner and Associates! When and if I could speak with anyone, it was usually his secretary, who is one of the rudest people I have encountered while dealing with people that I am paying my hard earned money to provide services to me. He usually "promised" he would have the assistant to call me back, and that rarely happened without me calling several times. If I became insistent about the lack of communication and lack of progress on my case, he would immediately place me on hold and come back to say that he had just spoken with the legal assistant. When I complained about the unavailibility of Mr. Turner, I was informed that I could not call to speak to my attorney at any time... I must make an appt. And by the way, he only sees clients Monday through Wednesday! Once, after working night shift, I rushed to court for a 9AM appt, only to sit in courtroom waiting for my name to be called and hoping to see my attorney in the courtroom. After waiting a couple hours, I called his office, only to be informed that he couldn't make it but had sent a substitute atty in his place. The substitute had apparently come and left after finding out my husband was out of town and his atty had taken care of postponing everything. Meanwhile I sat in that courtroom losing much needed sleep for hours. How inconsiderate was that! I was in tears! After more cancelled appts, him not showing up to court, never knowing what was happening with my case, no communication, rude staff, total lack of concern,...etc... I informed his secretary that I was considering dropping my divorce suit. This happened after I received an inaccurate bill for services, which of course was hundreds of dollars above the original retainer fee. His response was "great, I will let him know"! Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend Robert Turner to ANYONE! He is a joke. You might as well save your money and represent yourself!
