Looking For A Lawyer

Rob Turner's office is made up him and 4 junior lawyers. I hired his office for a Divorce back in April of 2012. It took the office til June 2012 to serve my wife. Now in all fairness she did not want to get divorced and she was the one cheating, so she would not expect the papers. They never kept me... informed on what was going on with the papers being sent outI didn't know. Every timed I called to see what was going on, I would be placed on hold, for a long time, then after waiting they said they would call me back tommorrow and they would not. Even when I made appointments they wouldn't have time for me. So when I finally got a Mediation date in March 2013, they sent me with a guy named Brad Frakes. Of course we could not settle in mediation. When I had to fill out my Income & Expense Statement this guy Brad told me to put my post 9/11 G.I. Bill money , even though it is for education, and the gross amount that I get from a rental unit, it should have been the net after I pay the mortagage and property manager. So when I went to a hearing on May17, 2013 hearing about lite support payment this guy Brad didn't say anything for my defense, he let her Lawyer paint me as an ***hole and I had to pay a "Good Faith Payment" of $500.00,until we could show that she was working, which was gonna be in 2 weeks. I had a P.I. 's report on her that she was working and was living with another man. He sent out subponea's for the boyfriend and my P.I. for the next hearing when I asked him not to. Long story short the judge did not call any of my witnesses and my wife quit her job when the boyfriend got the subponea and moved back home with her mom, and I got stuck with a lite support payment and her attorney's fee's, that I can't afford on top of my attorney's fee's. And no date for a trial. Then Brad leaves the office and they give me a lawyer that has four years experience none of it with Divorces. At that point I hired a new lawyer, because I got tired of my lawyer working against me. In my opinion if you are a man and you are going through a divorce and don't get Rob Turner himself DON'T go to his office for a Divorce. Shop around pay the money for a GOOD Lawyer, in the end you'll be better off. Don't get Brad Frakes he SUCKS and he will not listen to you! My point is this office is a business and they didn't seam to care about me, and my situation.

Worth Every Penny

Let first say that I am shocked at some of these reviews. They in no way represent the experience that I had with Mr. Turner and his staff. I hired Rob Turner over 2 and a half years ago. I had no idea that my case would last for as long as it did. It was emotional, long-winded, petty and ultimately ...successful. I am single Dad who fought tooth and nail to ensure my child was given a fair shake at a very acrimonious situation. Rob Turner was on time. He showed up with guns blazing. He was on point and caught things that even after my intense research (trust me, I had every single receipt, document, recordings, photographs, etc) didn't even turn up. He was diligent and fought like it was his own child. But let me point out something to some of the negative reviews. It is not your attorney's fault that you get an answer you don't like. It's not your attorney's fault that the judge rules the way he does. Keep in mind, these are officers of the court. And they can only help you if they know EVERYTHING. Keeping something from your attorney will only hurt your case in the end. In fact, the opposing attorneys in my case were just as good as mine. I never blamed them for my ex's wild accusations, of which there were plenty. I never blamed them for their strategy. They were civil and respectful towards me and during court proceedings. It was their client that made things so uncomfortable and hateful. Mr. Turner showed a level of expertise that I could not believe I somehow had on my side. Life doesn't always turn out the way you think and it is usually par for the course to not get your way. But I got my way. A few things weren't granted, but that's ok. It was mostly recuperative costs that I had asked for in the end. And this was after mediation, several settlement offers, including 2 judicial conferences. All I ever wanted was for the mother of our child to get serious help. I never changed my tune. And neither did Rob Turner. After everything was settled and the trial was finally over, he told me that it was one of the best cases he had ever had. Granted I made mistakes, but I'm paying for those. I will have him as attorney until my child is an adult. I trust him. He never placated my mistakes and made sure they were addressed. But he also never let up on ensuring that my ex got help. There were several things we could have "caught" her on. Trust me when I say that it WAS BAD. Stuff that never even got to be brought up because she was removed from the stand after 20 minutes of questioning. -But he wasn't vicious. He wasn't malicious and he was really concerned. But don't get it twisted, he is damn good at what he does. He is a seasoned attorney who knows human behavior in a way that only serves you well, as a client. It's finally over. And I have Rob Turner to thank for it. I could go into all of the back and forth. I could sit here and tell you this long story of things that occurred that would have most of you saying, "Well, of course you won. Why wouldn't you?" -But the only person that knew how to navigate through the rocky terrain was Rob. He was calm and cool, calculating. I cannot say enough good things about him. I'm truly thankful. I'm sorry that not everyone has the opportunity to agree with this.

Mr. Turner performed due diligence, acted honestly, timely, and got me the deal I wanted.

I have recommended him on numerous occations. Why? I was 20 facing my 1st DUI charge. I failed the breathalizer upon arrest so my options were limited, and I was ignorant. He projected a drop to Reckless Driving, No Jail, and Class. He got the date extended once for me and then when I arrived at cour...t, spoke to him, I was out with the exact anticipated deal in ten minutes. Mr. Turner cut me a 50% deal simply out of kindness as he knew of my financial hardship. He was very knowledgeable and professional. If you want your agent to perform his due diligence, have an object and unbiased treatment of all cases, and be a considerate advocate on your behalf in troubled times, I recommend him. Contrary to other indications posted by god-knows-who I swear that my experiences with this advocate always exceded my expectations.

Bad business

He was retained to domesticate and request a new parenting plan for me. I was divorced in 2001 in GA. He took my case in 2006. This July 2012 I get a bill from him for this 6 year old case. I was very upset and it took me 3 weeks to talk with him, his receptionist refused to let me speak with him. ...I decided to do some snooping and found my domestication order the case I paid $1800.00 had never been filed with the courts. He finally let me in to see him once I. let it be known I had this information and to my amazement my parenting plan as well had never been signed by the judge . What a mess. After all was said and done he filed my orders with the courts 6years later and he had the nerve to say" I won't even charge you for the work. STAY AWAY he has no clue.

beware

Very disappointed with this atty. Paid the retainer, was told he would be "there from 1 to 3:30" on Monday, so I thought the male receptionist was telling me I could drop by for my PAID visit. When I got there, the room was crowded like 20 people. Standing room only, mostly people who spoke no Engl...ish. Knowing he could not give me the time I needed (or paid for)--with this many people ahead of me and his limited time to be there-- I was greatly worried about his motives. After waiting 1 1/2 hrs-- I googled him. Found out he lost his license in 09 for professional misconduct. I asked for my money back and left. Hired a lawyer AFTER googling him! Also, I needed an answer immediately about the new "bond restriction" that went into effect 1/1/12-- he was clueless about this (the requirment for drug testing BEFORE you even go to court.) The Around the Clock bondsman told me about it-- the lawyer did not know. Too many negatives here.
