Jody Andrew Dorris

     I am a new attorney in our community but I am certainly not new to our community.  I have lived in Robertson County my entire life, and truly feel a connection to the people in my community.  My background on my family's farm has provided me with an appreciation for the agricultural roots of Robertson County and an understanding of hard work.  Caring for my neighbors and hard work are two important factors that define who I am.

     I am a graduate of Greenbrier High School, Austin Peay State University, and Nashville School of Law.  Both Austin Peay and Nashville School of Law have provided me with a practical collegiate education that will be beneficial to my clients.  My experience at Nashville School of Law was unique as I attended class at night while working full time in the legal field during the day.  The combination of attending law school while working in the legal field allowed for constant learning and application of the law to actual cases.

     I have worked in the legal field for years as an assistant in a large law firm in Nashville, a Robertson County Deputy Court Clerk, and a secretary in a small law office in Springfield, Tennessee.  I am happy to now be an attorney with my office located on the Historic Downtown Springfield Square.  I will provide services in the following practice areas:  criminal defense, personal injury, family law, wills, estates, and Social Security Disability claims. The combination of my connection to the community, my education, and my work experience will be evident in the legal services that I provide my fellow community members.
