Rebecca Jennifer Powell

Jennifer Powell practices in the areas of construction litigation, general civil litigation, real estate law, business law, estate planning, and probate. Jennifer is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Rutherford County Bar Association, the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel, and the Andrew Jackson American Inn of Court.

Born and raised in Charleston, SC, Jennifer brings an impressive academic background to her legal practice. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Music before achieving her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in 2023, where she graduated cum laude.

While at Georgia State, Jennifer was selected to participate in the esteemed HeLP Health Law Partnership Clinic, where she advocated for children with disabilities from low-income households. Working alongside legal and healthcare professionals in the Atlanta area, she navigated complex legal issues while serving vulnerable members of the community. Her work at HeLP was recognized with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award. She was awarded three additional Excellence for the Future Awards at Georgia State, spanning Estate Planning and Independent Research.

Jennifer's strong work ethic and passion for public service and advocacy serve as the foundation of her legal approach. She provides thoughtful, practical legal guidance while advocating for the interests of those she represents.

Jennifer lives in Smyrna, TN with her husband, Tim, and their two sons. When she is not practicing law, she enjoys putting her B.A. in Music to use by singing in choirs, including CorAthena, a professional choir in Nashville, and in her church choir.
