You're missing out if you don't call Laurie!

Better than the rest is an understatement. Laurie and her team are the epitome of excellence, in both, a personal and professional level. Communication never lacked or wavered during the duration of working with Laurie's team, which other law firms tend to negate. That alone could have warrantied a 5... star review but it didn't stop there. Upon the first meeting with Laurie, she was able to give me peace-of-mind during such a trivial time in my life. She also walked me through every process and avenue possible to help me make the best decision on my case. Furthermore, after several months of negotiations, she never once made me feel as though I was a burden or an inconvenience. Regardless of your level of stress, worry, or despair, you may feel when life tries to take a swing at you, Call Laurie and let her take on the street fight for you while you sit back watch it via Pay-per-View. (Yes, it really can be that hands off and easy)

ARROGANT/SELF CENTERED

Laurie Young is very cash driven.I retained her and she did nothing but delay my case and cost me more money. She was so hard to deal with that she couldn't even keep help in her own law office. She was nice and respectful until she had the retainer fee then she completely changed. She did not listen to... me and she didn't care about my son and what was best for him.Every time I disagreed with her or if I didn't agree with what she was doing she would threaten to drop me and now I wished she did before we went to court.Every time I asked for my account balance she wouldn't give it to me until it was past due in a large amount and then she would enforce the 10 day payment clause in your contract or else. She sold me out and didn't look after my best interest. She was paid a large sum of money for nothing. She didn't file my paper work in time in several cases which caused my cases to be dismissed. She couldn't even get the facts right on my paperwork that was submitted to me for my approval and signature and if you correct her she got upset and blamed it on her staff. She would tell me to go ahead and sign the last page so I didn't have to come back to sign after the eras were corrected but when I went to court that's when I found out that there were no corrections made. Please understand this because I found out the hard way.You are responsible for what your attorney does in your name. Judge Rodgers even made the comment on how bad she had handled my case and said that I should get someone to look into it but you can't get another attorney to even consider taking any kind of action against a fellow attorney .Now because of the way she has screwed up my case it is hard to get another attorney to take it because of the amount of time it will take to straighten out.I have now had 2 other attorneys involved at different times working on the mess she has created .She will rope you in telling you how well she gets along with the judges but if you really knew the truth she don't.She is very self centered and arrogant. When your attorney has a personal score count on win and lose with another attorney that your going against that makes for a very untrustworthy situation and that's what I was up against with her. Please do not use this lawyer, run, run, run far away from her.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
