Yes, it is fine for her to apply for a B-2 visa. She will need to state the purpose of her trip and prove ties to her home country.

It is impossible to say whether you case will be approved or not. Submitting documents in response to an RFE does not guarantee an approval.

I checked my case online through vawa and under employment authorization it says that they mail me a request for evidence
