I began working as a law clerk for Lowery, Lowery & Cherry, PLLC in July of 2013. This firm, primarily dedicated to representing individuals charged with criminal offenses, afforded me the opportunity to hone my skills as a litigator and learn from three of the best in the criminal defense community. Under Messrs. Jack Lowery, Sr., Jack Lowery Jr., and Jeff Cherry, I have had the opportunity to participate in jury and bench trials, argue motions to suppress, draft appellate briefs to the Courts of Appeals and Criminal Appeals, petition the Tennessee Supreme Court and argue in front of the Court of Appeals.
In 2024, I transitioned to the Law Office of Thomas Maynard. Here, my areas of practice have largely remained unchanged. I still enjoy representing individuals in family law, criminal law and general civil litigation.
I was born and raised in a small community North of Lansing, Michigan. In 2004, I moved to Tennessee to complete my undergraduate at Austin Peay State University. During this time and for several years after, I worked exclusively in health care. I began law school in 2010, looking to be better and improve the quality of life for my family and myself. I finished my legal education at the Nashville School of Law in 2015, graduating second in my class and awarded the Moot Court Award for the best participant in moot court.
My wife of more than 15 years has been with me the entire journey. Together we have four children (three boys and one girl) and live in between two of Tennessee's finest cities, Mount Juliet and Lebanon.

Chris has been informative, collaborative, and a wealth of information. From the first minute of meeting him I could tell he is a presence and moves with intent. I have interests across three different courts and I’m hoping to involve Chris in each facet. I’ll update this as we go along, but what a ...

Didn't impress me at all with falling asleep in court and it felt like he was badgering me to take a deal and felt very uncomfortable with him in contact with a friend of the plaintiffs which he knew that wasn't named in the case I wouldn't recommend him
I would generally prefer to respond to a person and understand what it is that resulted in a feeling of dissatisfaction, I cannot with this particular review because it is anonymous. All that I can say in response is that alleging I fell asleep in court is patently false and that I do not badger my clients to "take a deal". Furthermore, "taking a deal" is generally something that individuals consider in criminal related cases. However, he talks about me being in contact with a "friend of the plaintiffs" which would indicate that a civil case. I cannot make heads or tails of this. If (t)he(y) were to provide a first name, it might make it easier for me to understand the issue and then reach out to this person and better understand the grievance. Afterwards, I would be eager to assist in remedying any wrongdoing, if such were possible. I eagerly try to make sure my clients are informed and knowledgeable about their particular matters. I this person receives this and would like to speak further, please contact me at 615-784-4677 and I would be happy to speak further.

"Chris is an outstanding academic in the law. He has spent countless hours researching the law in an effort to better serve his clients. I have known Chris for about 5 years. During that time, he has consistently impressed me with his knowledge of the law. Chris is also a zealous advocate for his clients. He effectively utilizes his knowledge of the law to protect his clients rights. He also brings a demeanor of professionalism and honesty to each case. I enthusiastically endorse Chris Beauchamp as an honest and competent attorney. I would not hesitate to consult Chris if I needed sound legal advice."
