Terry Scott Frizzell

Hired ( Terry Scott Frizzell ) for having false police reports filed against me. As time went on I found out the local police had no respect for Terry and found myself being charge with a bogus crime.Terry quit the case and left me in a mess.Makes a man wonder how many lives Terry Scott Frizzell has ...ruined.

My sister Sandra Cherry knew Debrah and Terry Frizzell for many years. I didn't get to meet them until we had a business venture, which required more in depth legal advice. How many lawyers would send you a personal note?! I then chose Mr. Terry Frizzell to do my estate documents because of his caring nature. I didn't feel like just another number to him. He sincerely cares about his clients. Terry is extremely thorough and goes above and beyond to answer any and all questions. Always excellent advice. The staff (Jodi) at Frizzell & Frizzell is great! Remarkable, exceptional job! Debrah Frizzell has been in practice 35 years and Terry Frizzell has been in practice 18 years!! High integrity and honor. I went in for a contested divorce spoke with Terry. Worked out payment issues fine. Spent a month doing my discovery documents for Ex. Grosland was my assigned attorney. She never requested the same from Ex. Which I did not know until I changed law firms. Paid 2000 to start towards fees. 8 mon...ths goes by and no attempt to schedule mediation or anything she just sent an MDA with no reply. Then Ex attorney’s sent documents about my case to the law firm, I get a call to come to office and bring 4,000 more to continue case. I go and am intimidated by her and Terry that I need to pay 6,000 to continue case, not the 4000 that Grosland emailed me about and that I owe 2500 immediately and if I don’t pay I will lose and will end up “living under a bridge”. Terry demanded the money at that moment and says to call my family there on the phone and get a credit card for the fees. In the graciousness of his heart he says I can pay them 2000 and walk away with nothing for 10 months of basically nothing. I felt robbed and betrayed. My new law firm took my case represented me professionally and charged less than Frizzell and finished the divorce in 6 months. I do not recommend this firm. Which is sad as they started so nice and positive that they could help. Beware.

I highly recommend that you stay away from this firm. I came in hoping to acquire legal counsel for and uncontested divorce. I spoke with Terry and he informed me that they needed to charge me at the contested rate ($6,00), and despite what the contract stated that if everything worked out that he’d ...honor the non contested rate. After submitting the paperwork it took them (and me following up with them) a month to prepare the paperwork. I never met my counsel Ms Grosland during this time, and the one meeting that I did setup she did not show up, and it took me showing up to find out. Now during all this time my wife and I decided to reconcile and I informed them that instead of divorce we were going to work on mending our relationship and family. I was fine with being charged for any services rendered but need a refund. To my surprise I was told I was due $400 back for my filing fees that I paid separately They claimed that my 6k was non-refundable. However, I never met my counsel, they took an entire month to completes 4hrs worth of documentation, and I went in seeking different services that they upcharged based on Terry’s legal recommendation. This firm is highly questionable from an ethical standpoint. For Terry to recommend services to a client then hold them to that rate via a contract even though the client did not initially want that service (why couldn’t he charge for the requested services and discuss additional fees if and only if that service is warranted) is highly unethical. They use your Ignorance as a tool to stick you with fees that aren’t needed and then take your money and leave you to pick up the peices. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the State Board around their questionable practices. Prospective clients please be warned.
