Biography
Michael "Stuart" Saylor is a partner at Fort, Holloway & Saylor, LLC and a trial attorney who focuses on family law, criminal defense, orders of protection, guardianships, and conservatorships. A Franklin native, he serves middle Tennessee with responsive, client-centered representation. Stuart handles complex divorce matters—custody and parenting plans, child and spousal support, property valuation and division, and premarital agreement disputes—and manages post-divorce modifications when circumstances change. While most family matters settle, he prepares strategic negotiation plans and is fully trial-ready when litigation is necessary. A former prosecutor and JAG officer in the U.S. Air Force, Stuart brings extensive courtroom experience, having litigated dozens of trials and served as the lead legal advisor to a Special Operations Task Force in Afghanistan. He has successfully defended clients on a wide range of criminal charges and both obtains and defends orders of protection. Stuart graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville and earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution.
