I had a complicated case. Melissa never remembered my case, advised me wrong. I even went to have a second opinion from a lawyer that basically said everything she was doing was incompetent. However, instead of doing the smart thing of releasing her, I wrote her a letter about how I felt she wasn't a...ttentive to my case. We had a meeting and I was convinced she'd go forward with my best interest. Which did not happen! I can't express what a horrible job she did at not being present or knowledgeable. Thankfully after being represented by her I was able to get a new lawyer and reverse her horrible representation. Had I been better briefed on my own rights and able to advocate better for myself I would have ran far and rest for better representation!

Melissa king was the worst representative for me in a custody case. She messed up the case numerous times, never had answers, was completely incompetent. Halfway through I even contemplated hiring a new lawyer as the other lawyers I consulted with agreed she didn’t seem to know what she was doing. Sh...e absolutely takes advantage and is the worst lawyer ever. I honestly felt compelled to write the bar about how terrible and unethical she was. Go else where. I could have represented myself. She did absolutely nothing.

Very expensive for little work. I hired Melissa for my uncontested divorce. I didn’t get to see her again until my divorce was final. I was told I could only speak to the paralegal because she’s to busy. I never received my final divorce decree like she had promised in the beginning. When asked about... it. I got an email stating she couldn’t answer because my case was close. I wouldn’t go with this attorney again or recommend her

This is the second time I went with this law firm and was disappointed! I did a free consultation with Mrs king. She seemed eager to take on my custody case and very passionate or doing what’s right for me and my child. Needless to say after I hired her she was like a ghost collecting a pay check. Sh...e promised me things that she later on told me I couldn’t. She doesn’t take my child’s best interest seriously. Very misleading. In the the almost 9 months I had her I got to actually see and talk to her maybe 3 or 4 times. She’s always to busy, well for my situation. It is absolutely true she makes decisions and changes things without informing the client. I had and appointment with her, she ignored me. I had to sit in the lobby and beg to see her. Then she rushed me out for another client. I even recommended another soldier to her. She left the soldier clueless. If you love your child please stay away from this attorney!

From the very beginning I was misinformed. I fought the whole time to get her to pay attention to anything. She wasn't knowledgeable or responsive. I constantly didn't know what was going on with my case. She would make decisions all in which were never agreed or discussed. I had to constantly remin...d her of the circumstances of the case. It's such a shame, I had really thought I found a lawyer who I could trust, and feel confident in. I heard good things about Kimberly, and was hoping the lawyer I was assigned would be just as capable. She wasn't. Hire someone you feel is genuinely going to represent you and your rights. Melissa King was not that person.
