Selected her based on recommendation from attorney friend of mine, when we thought this would not be a contested divorce. She was priced lower than others in the business. But, end the end, things turned really bad. She failed to communicate with me and keep me posted. Never did she use the phone, ev...erything was via email. She even failed to inform me of a court date. No email about the court date. Was not very proactive, I have a feeling that she depends way too much on her staff. I had to change attorneys in the middle of the process, In the end things turned out good for me. Bottom line if you need someone to file paper work I am sure she can do that, however, if you need someone that will go for blood, she is not the one. I have found that in a divorce you need someone that will look out after your interest, and not just file papers.

I was divorced in 1996. I along with my soon to be ex-wife( Michelle Lafferty) moved to Michigan. While I was away for job training, Michelle, emptied our bank account. Her mother flew to Traverse City and rented U-Haul and emptied out the house and took my daughter back to TN. Michelle reported to t...he court that I abandoned the family and subsequently, had my parental rights severed. I hired Andrea to represent me. I paid all she asked for, but never received a court date. After talking to Andrea by phone, she had me a court date in days. I told her that would not work, that I needed more than two days, to prepare and let me work know. She went into the courtroom told the judge she did not know where I was and quit as my attorney. I lost my money and my daughter.
