Beware. She will tell you what you want to hear so that you pay, then she switches

I hired Christine Cassie Hernandez for a criminal defense case and ended up paying close to $50,000 in total fees. From the beginning, she gave me the impression that the case was winnable and repeatedly assured me that she could achieve a positive outcome. However, on the day of trial, she told me f...or the first time that the prosecution had a strong case and strongly advised me to accept a plea deal instead of proceeding to trial. Leading up to trial, she told me that there would be multiple witnesses appearing, but I later learned that several of those individuals were never actually going to testify. It felt like much of the case preparation and communication had been misrepresented. She also mentioned that she planned to use my company for construction work on an office project she was developing, suggesting that some of the money I paid might effectively come back through that business relationship. That never happened. After I agreed to plead guilty based on her advice—believing that she would immediately begin the appeal process—she later quoted me an additional $25,000 to file the appeal. I felt blindsided, especially since she was the one who proposed that course of action. In the end, I feel that I spent nearly $50,000, ended up with a criminal record, and received far less advocacy and transparency than I expected from a professional attorney. I would urge anyone considering hiring her to ask for everything in writing, be cautious about verbal promises, and make sure they fully understand what services are and are not included in the quoted fees.

The decision to plead guilty and take a deal offered by the state is not in the hands of the attorney. That decision is made by the Defendant in a case. This person tells a story that contains false information. Each person that hires the firm has a written contract with the specific details of the representation. No client has ever been forced to take a deal or plead guilty. This Firm has gone to trial everytime a client chose trial over any offer by the state, and has won a lot of those cases. The defense team has no control over the actual facts, the client has access to all of the discovery and makes all final decisions related to taking a plea or not. In the contract, any post conviction action including appeal involves a separate contract. If a decision was made that he regrets, he has to accept his decision. Here it seems he only wants to blame someone.

Worth every cent!

Christine was nothing short of phenomenal in my case. I was wrongly accused of a crime that threatened to end all I had worked so hard to achieve. I recognize when an attorney has gone above and beyond in prep and in execution -- and that she had. Throughout the jury trial, she and her team (Madi...son and Chelsea) were acutely prepared. During the deliberations, Megan was a strong reinforcement. Christine gave selflessly of herself to ensure that I was vindicated. I couldn't have been more pleased in her performance from the inception of the charge, to the negotiations, to the actual trial. Chris, I can't thank you enough for your stellar performance in my case. You are amazing and I am certain of two things: 1) noone could have done a better job and 2) you have earned every bit of the reputation you have acquired for being a high profiled and skilled attorney. Thank you!

LOST CASE

Hired Christine for a juvenile custody case she took the money over $4000 then did not want to return calls when she did the first thing was said was you owe another balance for phone calls! She never answered my questions, when I got aggrevated she dropped the case without any refunds. To much money... for Nothing. Several people told me she was a theif with a license after I hired her. I learned the hard way as well
