Judson L. Yates is a 2008 graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta. He attended the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia and graduated with his Juris Doctor. In 2017, Attorney Yates was admitted to the practice of law in Alabama. In 2018, he was admitted to the bar of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. He is listed on the Alabama Court Mediation Roster as well as the Appellate Court Mediation Roster. He also serves on numerous nonprofit boards and organizations.

Attorney Yates founded his law firm in 2017. He specializes in complex commercials transactions and related litigation. Yates’ extensive travels abroad and multilingual skills in English, Portuguese, and Spanish have assisted his practice in many areas of international law. He has studied in Brazil and Mexico and also had the privilege of studying law at Cambridge University in the U.K.

In addition to serving as a general counsel to some of Mobile’s largest private corporations, Attorney Yates also performs crisis management services for clients facing urgent man-made emergencies.

Attorney Judson Yates continues the proud family tradition of service to the residents of Alabama. He is the fourth child of the Rev. Dr. Jonathan L Yates (the longtime pastor of El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in downtown Mobile) and Doris Leslie Yates (an educator in the Mobile County School System).

The Yates/Leslie family network in Mobile has expanded Attorney Yates’s effective reach in the legal community and has empowered his ability to achieve tangible results for his clients.
