Gene Warhurst is an Alabama attorney who started his career in 1988 working in the insurance business as a property and auto claims adjuster for The Hartford Insurance Group. He learned the art of handling claims in the insurance industry from the investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of thousands of claims. Gene’s in-depth knowledge and acquisition of 8 postgraduate national insurance designations, including the gold-standard known as the CPCU, allowed him to advance to Senior Property, Car Accident, and Personal Injury Claims Manager. After leaving the insurance industry, Gene attended law school and, upon receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1995, he has become a champion for insureds who have had their claims denied, delayed, or underpaid by the insurance companies with whom he is so intimately familiar.
Today, Gene represents clients against insurance companies for home insurance claims, property insurance claims, fire insurance claims, automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, wrongful death, and all areas of personal injury. If you need to find an Alabama lawyer regarding an injury claim, an insurance claim, a property claim, a car crash claim, or if you are looking for a public adjuster or just need free legal advice for your potential claim, there is no cost for an initial consultation with Gene. Gene is admitted to practice law in the United States Supreme Court, all Alabama State Courts, the Southern District of Alabama, the Middle District of Alabama, the Northern District of Alabama, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Gene is a member of the Mobile County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. Gene is also a member of the Million dollar Advocates.
Prior to entering into the insurance industry, Gene was a commissioned officer of the United States Army. Gene and his wife, Tenley, reside in Fairhope, Alabama. She is a former graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Gene also enjoys raising his three daughters, Kristin, Katie, and Cecelia.

I endorse this lawyer. He was my boss & is extremely knowledgeable in the insurance law field . He loves to help & share his knowledge. He worked for insurance companies for over a decade so in addition to his legal knowledge, he knows tips & tricks of the trade that other attorneys could not possibly possess from just working in the legal industry alone. He's very good!

I have known Mr. Warhurst for my entire 16 years of law practice. He is a lawyer that me and many other local lawyers turn to when we have a question about insurance. He was a claims manager for insurance companies before he became an attorney, so he has insight from both sides of the claim process.
