Cade M. Gossett joined Buttram, Hawkins & Hopper in 2025, returning to his hometown of Centre, Alabama to serve clients throughout Cherokee County and the surrounding region. His practice spans a broad range of matters including personal injury and torts, criminal defense, family law, probate and estates, real estate transactions, and general civil litigation. Cade’s approach is rooted in providing clear guidance, practical solutions, and dedicated advocacy for individuals and families across northeast Alabama.
In addition to his civil and criminal defense practice, Cade was appointed as the municipal prosecutor for the Town of Cedar Bluff, where he represents the Town in misdemeanor, traffic, and ordinance enforcement matters.
Before joining BHH, Cade practiced with Ashcraft & Gerel in Charleston, South Carolina, where he focused heavily on complex mass tort litigation. His work primarily involved the Camp Lejeune Toxic Water Litigation, representing service members and families impacted by decades of water contamination at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. He managed claims in the federal system and assisted in building large scale litigation strategy for hundreds of clients. Cade assisted in recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars for Camp Lejeune water contamination clients. Past results do not guarantee future results.
Cade has also been selected to the 2026 South Carolina Rising Stars list, an honor bestowed by Super Lawyers on only the top 2.5% of attorneys in South Carolina who are under 40 or in practice for fewer than 10 years.

He was also inducted into Phi Delta Phi legal honor society and competed in multiple Sports Law competitions, reflecting both his commitment to ethical practice and his long standing involvement in athletics.
Cade also gained significant practical experience during law school. Through the Street Law Clinic, he taught weekly classes and coached students in mock trial preparation. His additional clerkships exposed him to a wide range of matters including probate, personal injury, estate planning, family law, and criminal defense.
Sports and community service continue to be major parts of Cade’s life. He previously served as Captain of the Charleston School of Law softball team, and he has volunteered as a youth baseball and flag football coach, helping foster growth, confidence, and teamwork in young athletes.
Outside the office, Cade enjoys spending time with his family including his wife Emily and daughter Ellery, cheering on the Crimson Tide and staying active in sports such as golf, pickleball and softball.
