Despite clear warning signs early on—including showing up unprepared at our first meeting, missing the initial EEOC submission deadline due to personal reasons, failing to notify me of the delay until I followed up, and consistently poor communication with delayed responses—I ignored my instincts and... proceeded with their representation. My final impression is that Rucker Legal Solutions was more interested in a quick payday than in providing meaningful advocacy. After the EEOC’s routine decision not to pursue my case (a common outcome in the majority of filings), RLS chose not to move forward. Importantly, they never requested or reviewed the evidence the EEOC relied upon in its findings. When I personally obtained that information, I discovered my former employer had submitted factually incorrect statements. I informed RLS of this and provided my right-to-sue letter, yet they still declined to pursue the matter further, citing potential expenses and reminding me they had never promised an outcome. Their decision not to continue effectively ended my ability to pursue the case. Most attorneys I contacted afterward refused to take it, explaining that they avoid cases already filed with the EEOC by another attorney or were unable to take on additional workload. In short, Rucker Legal Solutions’ lack of diligence and unwillingness to fight for my case closed the door on my opportunity for justice.
