Ms. Shelley Bilbrey is everything you could ask for in a divorce lawyer, especially under such trying and overwhelming circumstances. She was honest and forth-coming, and she provided me guidance and advice throughout each step of the divorce process. She also helped walk me through the “legal-ese” o...f the system and translated it into concepts that I could understand and digest. I never felt Ms. Bilbrey judged my circumstances. She was trust-worthy, and I felt comfortable sharing my confidential information with her. Unfortunately, my divorce went to trial; however, I was pleased with Ms. Bilbrey’s performance in the courtroom. She balanced having a positive rapport with the judge and opposing lawyer with defending my interests as her #1 priority. She appeared to work well with everyone, was a problem solver, and got the job done when it was required. She understood the circumstances of my case in great detail; she was obviously well-prepared. On a more interpersonal level, she also was very emotionally supportive during the trial. Ultimately, Ms. Bilbrey succeeded in getting me a judgement with which I was happy. And, while divorce is always going to be financially taxing, I feel Ms. Bilbrey was very reasonable in terms of what I paid versus her services. Furthermore, she was always willing to shares tips on what I could do for my case to limit her billing so I never felt she was taking advantage of me. I’d recommend Ms. Bilbrey for anyone seeking a divorce lawyer.

I hired Shelley Bilbrey to negotiate my divorce. She did not listen to what I wanted to do and ended up wasting thousands of dollars of my money by attempting to negotiate a settlement that I had already told her the other party would not agree to. I stated, multiple times, that I wanted to just prepare for court and get it over with. She advised m...e against that and continued to try to negotiate and waste my money. MULTIPLE e-mails were never responded to and most questions were never answered. The questions that were answered were not given a straight forward answer. This attorney wasted 9 months and nearly $10,000 of my money. THREE other attorneys that I consulted with once I fired Bilbrey ALL said that she had essentially handed the other party their BEST CASE scenario and screwed me over. Fortunately, I hired a much better attorney who LISTENED to what I had to say and got the job done within a short period of time and better than anything I could have expected from Bilbrey. I would NEVER hire this attorney again and I wish I had never gone to her in the first place - huge mistake! Don't let it happen to you, too!
