I am a resident of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I have lived here since 1982 when I first came from my hometown of Red Bay, Alabama, at the age of 18 to attend the University of Alabama. I grew up on a farm where my father worked the fields and my mother worked alongside him. Sweat and dirt are familiar to me and I appreciate the hard working client's that put their trust in me along with their hard earned money. After obtaining my accounting and law degrees from the University of Alabama, I began a general practice of law in Tuscaloosa where I have continued to maintain a sole practice for the last 28 years. I am experienced in a variety of cases. My primary focus has been personal injury of all types. I'm one of the few lawyers who will prosecute legal malpractice claims against other lawyers. My other focus is criminal law where I have tried many jury cases for DUI, drugs, and violent criminal offenses. Contested divorce matters and child custody litigation is also very familiar legal territory for me. Basically, if you need a trial lawyer (someone who stands up in front of a jury or judge and advocates for you) for a legal matter I'm the guy you want.

I have great interest in science, nature and the enviroment. I've traveled the world and I value the experience of travel in relating to people of different beliefs, interests, and backgrounds. I enjoy photography and technology. I have a great love of the ocean and using my skill in photography and technology to capture and share the unique places and creatures of the sea I encounter. Scuba diving has been a part of my life since I was 18 and I relish the serenity and joy it brings me when I'm under the waves and exploring a beautiful reef or watching a giant shark move about the ocean. I love animals and especially the unique and endangered creatures of our world. I enjoy the technology of drones and photography with drones. I have climbed volcanos, swam with Great White Sharks, walked with Komodo Dragons and wandered to the remotest of places in this world. There are few things about a courtroom that could possibly intimidate me.

I am not a conventional lawyer, but, I am straight forward & honest about a situation, and if I represent you, determined to get you the best possible result in your legal case.

Thankful

When I tell you that I am truly thankful, I am truly thankful! Mark told me that he would handle my case, and he did just that!!!! Divorce can be a very difficult and lengthy process. Calm, no nonsense, expert legal advise

Mark handled a very stressful civil case for us. It was a very scary situation, and we were emotionally and mentally fatigued when he stepped in to advise and represent us. His calm, no-nonsense demeanor was exactly what we needed. Calm tenacity

Mark settled a suit we brought against a driver and insurance company who refused to deal reasonably after my daughter severely injured her back in a car wreck. The insurance company used Covid to delay and stall all attempts to settle a claim which forced us to sue. Due to Mark's tenacity and diligence, the insurance company finally settled at the maximum amount of the policy. Mark's calming demeanor kept us sane while they did all they could to delay us and the courts. We greatly appreciate all he did for us to get to a reasonable settlement.

Great Divorce Lawyer!

Mark was absolutely incredible! He was always spot-on with the information he provided and supported me throughout the whole process of my divorce. I remember being incredibly nervous for my first visit into Mark's office when I was filing for divorce. I knew it was the right decision to make, but being in a lawyer's office isn't exactly the most comforting feeling for anyone regardless of what the situation is. That said, Mark assured me he would be there for me. Mark absolutely fulfilled this promise. He always made time for me. I would be lying if I said that there were only a few times Mark sat me down and filled me in on the process and possible outcomes. He also sat patiently as I asked him copious amounts of questions. Mark always gave me the bottom line of what was going on in a way that was easy to understand. He would also always ask how I wanted to proceed. There were times where I knew what to do, but when I didn't, I would ask for his opinion, and his advice was always spot-on. It's no secret that divorce is stressful for all parties involved. Although I do not wish this for anyone, it's sadly an inevitable reality of life. If someone is needing a divorce, I couldn't think of a better choice than Mark.

Exceptional service and quick resolution to our problem!

We had an uninsured motorist wreck in our yard and drive through our fence, tearing up our yard, fence and personal property. After trying to get resolution to this matter on our own and the driver giving us the run around to avoid paying, we turned to Mark Morrow for help. He knew exactly what to do to get very quick resolution. He had this resolved within 2 weeks and with the driver contacting him to hand deliver the check for our damages. Saved my career before it even took off.

Mark saved my career before it even got started. At the time I hired Mark to repsent me, I was a college student in nursing school. Just like any normal college student I got a job to help pay the bills. I chose to become a bartender. It was a great environment to get a nice break from a stressful one. Unfortunately one night working a security guard accidentally allowed a minor into the bar and I happened to be the unlucky bartender that served him. Due to the law an Alabama, the bartender and bar are found at fault for serving a minor (regardless if the minor is mismarked or allowed in by the security team that is hired to check ID's). I found myself in a very tough spot. I had a charge on my record for serving a minor while in a very prestigious nursing program. As you can imagine, nursing students are held to high standards and being professional is one of them. So you can imagine how it made me look when my charge came up on a background check... not good. I was then told by the school that I would more than likely be put on probation coming out of school due to the charge. This charge not only effected me mentally and emotionally, it was going to affect my nursing career. A career that I already worked so hard for. That is when I decieded to hire Mark Morrow to help me resolve this issue. He did a wonderful job. Mark worked deligently and persistently to help me get the best result. After countless amount of months, weeks, days, hours and several court hearings, Mark was able to get my case thrown out. My career is no longer in jeporady. I am able to graduate from school without having to fear any probation or after effects that could negatively impact my job. I couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome of this case. DUI

Well... Saw the ole blue lights and got a DUI. After I got out I looked for a good lawyer and found Morrow. He was able to provide insight when I was stressed the most and actually got my case dismissed. I went back to Morrow for his services for expungement. The arrest has been fully removed from my record and I have a clear background check. I highly recommend.

Dismissed & Expunged DUI

Mark handled my case flawlessly which involved being accused of DUI. A DUI can severely damage a young persons reputation and hinder them from future employment. I heard about Mark via word of mouth and I am sure glad I did. Mark was able to get my case dismissed via pre-trial diversion. He was also able to get my arrest and court records expunged because just being accused of a DUI seems bad in employers eyes this day and time. I would highly recommend Mark due to his ability to get things done effectively and efficiently with favorable results.

Last Will, Power of Attorney and Living Will

Mr. Morrow did an excellent job when my mother needed her Last Will and Testament updated. She also wanted to assign a Power of Attorney and complete a Living Will. My mother is 90 years old, and Mr. Morrow was kind and attentive. He listened to precisely what my mother wanted in her Will, as well as the other documents. When he returned with the legal documents, he sat patiently and explained each and every clause to her, making sure that she understood any special legal terms. My mother commented that Mr. Morrow was respectful, intelligent, and caring. She and I both highly recommend Mark Morrow to you when you need a Will, Power of Attorney, Living Will or other estate-related documents.
