Summer Austin Wells

Summer grew up, went to school, and began her career in Birmingham, Alabama. In short, she is a home-grown tomato. Although Summer was accepted to medical school right out of high school, she knew that her passion was in the law, so she made the decision to attend law school at Cumberland School of Law. After law school, Summer clerked at the federal district court for the Northern District of Alabama where she managed cases, prepared legal memoranda, and got a first-hand look at our court system. After her clerkship, Summer immediately began a litigation practice at a large southeastern corporate defense firm. While at the firm, Summer honed her litigation skills and handled a vast variety of civil litigation matters, from complaint through trial or settlement, including wrongful death, personal injury, and employment cases.

Knowing that her heart was not with the corporate defense world, Summer joined the Serious Injury Law Firm in 2017. Summer’s practice at the Serious Injury Law Firm includes vigorously pursuing and obtaining just results in serious injury claims including, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and trucking litigation. She is a fighter, and a strong advocate for her clients.

Summer is active in her church, and she firmly believes that obtaining justice for those who have been wronged is her calling.
