Sammie Dewayne Shaw

I consulted and worked with Mr. Shaw against a former landlord of mine for attempting to charge me for fees for an apartment I left spotless. He wrote a letter, scared them enough to change their minds on trying to come after me for damages, and asked me if I wanted to proceed with suing for my depos...it. I told him I did. Nevertheless, I never heard from him again. I called, and called, and called. He never called back. I paid him to write a letter. Had I known he would take no further action, I would've never gone with him.

Mr. Shaw is currently my attorney and right now i am in the process of reporting him to the state bar. Mr. Shaw does not return calls. I called him for 3 days straight and then emailed him and finally got a response. Mr. Shaw took my money but is failing to represent me at all. Based on the agreement... that has been made with the D.A. Mr. Shaw is to contact the plaintiff in this case to setup a pick up. He has not. Mr. Shaw has arrived 15 to 30 mins late to every court appearance I have had. Mr. Shaw wants me to pay him more money to go to trial, when based on the circumstances of this case it can be resolved at the preliminary hearing if he were to do his job correctly. I am currently pregnant and this is currently causing me stress that is not good for the baby. I am not guilty of the crime that has been committed but Mr. Shaw is treating me like I am. When I informed him that his inability to return my calls and also handle my case properly was causing me stress and causing my blood pressure issue to become more of an issue with my pregnancy he informed me that he didn't see how that was possible. To me this man needs to be stripped of his law degree or sent back to school to realize that when you are being paid to represent someone. That's what you should do. Represent them and not ignore them and do what you want to do.
