John Riley Jacobs

Jack Jacobs primarly focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation and as such as been named by Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in Workers' also specializes in personal injury and Federal Black Lung claims.

Jack is routinely sought after as counsel in Federal Black Lung cases and has represented hundreds of members of the United Mine Workers of America and spouses with Black Lung claims in both state and federal courts primarily in Alabama, as well as in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi. His knowledge of the inner workings of administrative law and procedure has resulted in numerous awards of lifetime benefits making a lifetime of difference for the claimants, widows, and survivors whom he has represented.

Jack is also an experienced litigator in personal injury cases including automobile accidents, work place accidents, and nursing home injuries.

Jack grew up in several states throughout the Southeast, moving to Chilton County while in high school. Jack married his college sweetheart, Kristen, and they have a daughter Elizabeth. Jack and his family live in Pelham. In his spare time, Jack enjoys spending time with his family and running the trails and roads near his home. Jack is also an active member of Morningstar United Methodist Church.
