Now my son has a chance

My son's school was determined to remove him anyway possible, and was treating him very badly. They did many underhanded things to him and us. I was given no choice but to look for the best lawyer possible and found Mrs. Mattison. She impressed me with her background, knowledge of the education laws,... civil rights laws, and her willingness to fight for children and make sure my son had a voice. She fixed things and did not give in one bit. I am still in shock at her ability to swiftly take on a school system and win. I doubt very seriously my son will have anymore problems with the school. We will always be thankful to Deborah for making sure my son will get his education . I was very lucky to have found her and will not hesitate to contact her again if the school steps out of line in the future. She will never know how thankful we really are .

Justice for my daughter.

I was referred by a family member to Mrs. Mattison with high regards. I was very nervous because I knew that my daughter was not receiving the services she needed and I felt very overwhelmed and outnumbered with trying to advocate for her alone. Mrs. Mattison was very client oriented in reviewing my ...daughter's case and was able to assist me in asking the school system for what my daughter needed and was entitled to by law. She is very knowledgeable and to the point. I had a very wonderful working relationship with her. She will advocate for your child's best interest. Her knowledge of IEPs and educational law allowed her to get my daughter more than I ever thought was possible. She advocated for things that I didn't even know that my daughter was entitled to with her being in K4. She was very knowledgable on autism and she and her assistant were available to answer any questions or concerns I had. I can't give her enough praise and thanks for what she did for my daughter. We were blessed to cross her path and have her represent us.

Very pleased!

We recently were at a stand still with our local board, and Mrs.Mattison was recommended to us. Being new at having a special needs child, as well as being new in the public system, she opened our eyes to not only the present problem, but also took the time to teach us about the actual law and what o...ur son's rights were. She is very accessible and truly cared about our case. The issue was resolved quickly as soon as she stepped in. My family has the utmost respect for her, and although we hope to not require her services again, it is great to know she is available.

Deb Mattison ruined my sons life

I hired Deb Mattison because my son had a disability and he wasn't being treated well in school. She said I had a case that is why she took it the school took away his rights by placing him in a MR room and not in regular class setting. This new attorney that the school district hired had a conflict ...of interest with Deb and she withdrew as my attorney at the very end of his case, before the judge made a decision. She told me to keep my son in school and not enroll me out, but he was harassed by his teachers during the lawsuit they kept retaliating against him day in and day out. It was rough for him because of the lawsuit I had against them, the school was pretending to do right by him but they wanted the lawsuit to be dropped. I ended up losing my case and this was a very dramatic event for my son losing. And Deb told me that this judge wasn't even for the kids educational rights IEP which is what he didn't even rule on. The judge blamed my son for all his problem that he was the bully and I didn't have a attorney to fight for me. No other attorney would take it, his life is still hard because of this even though it had been 17 years, it still torments him that these teachers and school bullies got away with harassing him. Her law firm said "Justice is our number one priority" but my son didn't get any justice. Deb Mattison let me and my son out in the cold and she threw is to the wolves.
