Richard Atwood Barlow

I hired Attorney Barlow to represent me in a very, very messy divorce. He and his paralegal, Liz, were very honest, direct and extremely effective. This divorce drug on for over two years, not because of my attorney, because of my ex-husband and his attorney. His attorney clearly was not advising ...her client (my ex) that the deal Attorney Barlow and I offered from the beginning was a Good deal for him. My feeling is she was running up his bill with useless issues. Ultimately at the end and thousands of dollars later, they accepted our offer. Attorney Barlow did his best to keep my costs to a minimum with no useless communication and answering my questions throughout the process direct and precise. (on a side note, Husband had to pay over half of my fees) In the end I was very happy with the results. You may have to be thick skinned but if you want a bulldog who will battle to the end with you, Attorney Barlow (and Liz) is your firm.

I hired Rick to work on my divorce case. I didn't get the work and results that I would expect at his rates. After continued arguments about billing and him losing every plea in my case, I fired him. He then filed a lien against me in Martin County and I was forced to pay his ridicules bill in ful...l. Never again, as there are to many other local attorneys that are more cost effective.. All I can say is watch out...

He was also preparing for a trial starting the next day and I thought that his willingness to meet with me on Sunday when he was prep...aring for another matter was especially client oriented and showed a sincere interest in helping me retain counsel as soon as possible to relieve some of the burden from my shoulders. Mr. Barlow listened to my entire story and all of the facts and came up with a strategy which was virtually the same as I had anticipated being an attorney myself, though a different type of attorney. Anticipating a battle lasting well into 2014, I was pleasantly surprised when we were able to get to a final hearing in mid December and everything was over. I found Mr. Barlow be thoughtful, thorough, and compassionate. He and his paralegal make a good team for anyone who needs competent and honest representation. I would refer friends and clients who might require services in his practice areas without hesitation.
