John Alexander Hetherington

I was assigned John by the public defenders office twice in the past. Both times he was impossible to reach and we did not speak but maybe five minutes before court was to begin. He immediately went from talking to me outside the courtroom in a very serious manner to smiling and joking around with ...the state attorney. Both times he represented me he tried to get me to sign the first deal drawn up by the state (seventy months doc). I refused to sign and he promised me I would get more time than that because I would not sign. He went as far as to tell my mother there was nothing he could do because I would not sign the states deal and I was going to get seven plus years. I did an open plea because he would not work for me and got much much less than he threatened. In my opinion anyone assigned this man would be better off representing themselves.

PUBLIC DEFENDER PAID BY THE STATE! HE PROMISED WED BE IN GOOD HANDS LOL THBATS FUNNY! HES AWFUL HE CAVES TO ALL PROSECUTERS HE IS OVER WORKED BY PUBLIC DEFENDERS OFFICER NEVER ANSWERS HIS LIENTS IN JAILS CALLS AND FOR CRIMINAL CASES TRYS TO GET U TAKE A CRAPY DEAL SO HE DOESNT HAVE TO WORK! HE WANTED... ME TO SIGN FOR THE FULL FIRST OFFER SO HE DIDNT HAVE TO QUESTION WITNESSES OR TAKE DEPOSITTIONS! HES GOOD FRIENDS WITH JUDGES AND PROSECUTERS AND TREATS U LIKE A FILE NUMBER AND NOT A HUMAN BEING! SO IF U R POOR U R IN TROUBLE FLORIDAS PUBLIC DEFENDERS GIV NO HELP OR EVEN CARE ABOUT IF POLICE GIVE U YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS! IF U GET THIS MAN AS YOUR PUBLIC DEFENDER U R IN TROUBLE
