Biography
Adalbert "Al" Martinez is a solo-practitioner licensed to practice law in Florida, and the founding lawyer of The CYA LAW FIRM, PLLC, a private law firm that focuses in asset protection for individuals and small businesses, business law and contract drafting, and estate planning.
Al grew up in Miami, Florida, and is fluent in spanish and english. He attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and graduated with a degree in Political Science. Al graduated Cum Laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. There, he received several academic accolades, including the Dean’s List and Honor Roll, and Book Awards in Health Law, Advocacy, and Restorative Justice.
During Law School, Al interned at WMU Cooley Law School's Debt Relief clinic and received a certificate of appreciation for assisting indigent clients with their financial related legal issues. He was appointed to the school’s Moot Court executive board and was elected as their Vice-Chief Justice. Al was also a Teaching Assistant in Health Law where he assisted law students with their medical malpractice and compliance projects. He was also selected to participate in the school’s skills academy where he and his team successfully litigated two Jury Trials: (DUI Defense) and (PI Plaintiff), and a Bench Trial (Family Law case). Al and his team were recognized by professors and judges for their exceptional advocacy and trial skills during the academy.
Prior to establishing his own practice, Al practiced Personal Injury at Steinger, Greene & Feiner, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Before becoming an attorney, Al enjoyed a successful 21-year career working with several reputable organizations and Fortunees assisting them with shortage investigations, risk mitigation, and asset protection.
Al currently lives in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, with his wife and three children. When he is not practicing law, Al enjoys attending his kids' competitive sporting events (gymnastics and swimming); he also volunteers at the local swim club. Al is a results driven professional, and passionate advocate who loves helping people.
