Biography
I grew up in the panhandle part of Florida -- Panama City and Pensacola. I attended Eckerd College (then known as Florida Presbyterian College) in St. Petersburg, Florida where I was very active in campus activities, such as college goverance, dorm supervision, college public relations. I majored in Philosophy and French. During the summers, I built beach houses in Hatteras, NC. I graduated in 1974 with High Honors.
I then spend a year in France where I obtained a degree from the University of Montpellier. I then returned to attend the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Upon graduation, I started work in the Orlando office of a large multi-city law firm. I worked primarily in the trial section. In 1979, I left that firm and, along with a partner, opened an office in Winter Garden and also in Orlando. On April 1, 1983 I opened my present office at 102 E. Maple St.
Over the years, I have practiced in many areas of the law, but now concentrate in the areas of estate planning, probate, guardianship, business planning, and business litigation. My past hobbies include hunting, scuba diving, boating, and tennis. My present hobby is motorsports. I have a National Competition license and race a Spec Miata in SCCA Club Racing. I also serve as a national instructor in the Porsche Club of America Driver's Education program. One of the most fun things I've done (and still do) is to drive through the North Carolina mountains in the fall in my sports car. I am married to my lovely wife Diane. We have two children and four grandchildren.

Estate Work
Mr. Mashburn took over the case from another lawyer who was non-responsive and apparently was handling things incorrectly. Eric corrected the mistakes from the previous attorney and was able to get a summary administration very quickly. He always responded to my calls and emails in a timely manner....
