I was being sued by my prior attorney who was trying to extort money from me after she learned of my new cash flow. She refused to withdraw as my lawyer after I asked her to (her paralegal explicitly told me she hasn’t yet agreed to withdraw and it’s not my decision!), and continued billing me even... on cases I wasn’t a party to without my consent upfront. I fought back and Mr Legendre pulled all the pieces together and in the end she voluntarily dismissed her multiple claims. He was super intelligent, to the point, and compassionate. He had no problem calling out another attorney if they were unethical. In the short time he represented me I felt like he was more a friend than my attorney.
