Waste of money

I recently concluded my divorce case with Day Law Office, and unfortunately, I must express my dissatisfaction with the overall experience. To commence, I initiated the divorce proceedings, but due to delays from the Day Law Office staff, my ex-wife was able to file first, putting me at a disadvan...tage. Communication with the staff, particularly Danielle, was infrequent, and the legal advice provided was not satisfactory. Upon the commencement of the divorce proceedings, I was unaware of the requirement to complete a parenting class, leading to an unfavorable impression during the initial hearing. Subsequently, a motion was awarded in favor of my ex-wife, mandating me to cover her legal fees and continue payments for the shared property. During the hearing, I found the arguments presented by David lacking conviction, and it appeared he was not adequately prepared. Despite my request to contest the judgment, David was unwilling to do so, despite the substantial fee I had paid. David refused to do a discovery of my ex-wife's assets as she was hiding money to the court, which worked in her favor. Throughout the case, the office failed to keep me informed about updates, necessitating my reliance on the county clerk's website for information. David's minimal involvement and lack of communication left me uninformed about the progress of my case. The Day Law Office never even told me my divorce was finalized, I had to receive it from the opposing counsel. In a pivotal moment during the final hearing conducted via Zoom, David was notably absent due to vacation, leaving me without representation despite the significant fee paid for legal services. This absence resulted in a disadvantageous outcome for me. Regrettably, the Day Law Office only demonstrated responsiveness to one motion, attended a single hearing, and provided insufficient responses to my inquiries. Despite my request for assistance in negotiating a payment plan adjustment with my ex-wife's attorney, I was met with refusal, citing the binding marital agreement, I had to contact the opposing counsel myself. Despite the lack of involvement in the case, somehow, I went through my 6k I gave him which is laughable. In conclusion, my experience with Day Law Office was unsatisfactory, and I would caution others in Spring Hill against engaging their services unless one is willing to endure a subpar legal representation.

The Day Law Office

Throughout my divorce case which began in August of 2020 & was finalized in May 11, 2022, I found The Day Law office effective, genuine, and knowledgeable in all aspects of family law. I was impressed with attorney David Day's performance and with each passing week & month he gained my out most respe...ct as a person and an attorney. I found Dave, the attorney, not only knowledgeable, but a man of character with high integrity. I was also quite impressed with Carmen who assisted in my divorce case at The Day Law office. Carmen was knowledgeable and helpful throughout my divorce case. She was prompt, thorough and was always there to answer any related questions I had. I truly appreciated Carmen being a team member in a winning team handing my case. With gratitude, Jamal Pournia

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I endorse this lawyer. David is a very professional and ethical attorney. I had an occasion, as an opposing attorney, to work with David in a post-Judgment time-sharing matter. David is extremely knowledgeable in the area of family law and I look forward in resolving other family law matters with him in the future."
