My law practice focuses on Estate Planning (Wills, Trusts, Durable Power of Attorney for Financial and Health Care Surrogates), Life Care Planning (Medicaid & VA Benefits Planning, Care Coordination and Advocacy), and Probate and Trust Administration. My practice focuses on the distinctive needs of retirees and the elderly with end of life issues. It is my goal to help take the worry away and give my clients peace of mind in planning. My personal mission is to make estate planning as accessible, efficient and streamlined as possible so that individuals and families are motivated to express their estate planning goals, and families do not have to deal with the disastrous fallout from lack of planning. I treat my clients like family, protecting their interests as if they were my own, and making sound recommendations to help them accomplish their planning goals.
In addition to creating estate plans, I work in the elder law arena and assists families with navigating the long-term care maze. I strive to help my clients preserve their assets and maintain dignity and control as they grow older. I also assist families in implementing plans when a loved one passes away either through a probate administration or trust administration.
I believe that effective estate planning is critical to the financial, physical, and emotional well-being of my clients, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the process. I enjoy creating relationships with my clients while passionately serving and educating them on estate planning and elder law. I am rooted in this community. This is home to me. I love this community and am honored to have the opportunity to work here among such talented and caring residents. I enjoy what I do every day and strive to make a difference in this community.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with Cum Laude Honors. I received my Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2005. After law school, I returned to Marion County to be close to my family and begin my law career.
I am a Florida native. I was born in Ocala and raised in Weirsdale along with my six siblings. I currently live in Ocala with my wonderful and supportive husband, Josh, my adorable daughter, Elle, and my two crazy West Highland White Terriers, Isaac and Izzy. In my limited free time, I love reading and traveling. I also enjoy spending time with my large extended family, most of who live in Marion County which is a blessing. As a young girl, I aspired to help others with their legal affairs by becoming an attorney. I feel very fortunate to be able to work where I grew up and to serve this amazing community.
