William Edward Ramputi

Mr Ramputi came recommended as the 'best defense attorney in Ocala.' I have a feeling if his case interests you, or he feels like he can win the case, he will be 'the best' for you. If you have a case that could go either way with no hard evidence for you, I would recommend just representing yourself... and saving your money. If you are looking for an attorney who will forget speaking with you after about an hour, not call you back as he says (or wait until the absolute LAST minute (like 2 minutes before trial is supposed to start)) - then he's your guy. I think he knows his stuff, but I can almost guarantee he spent - at most - a half an hour reviewing my case over a three month period. I agree - he is personable, he is likable...but I strongly got the impression that he 'winged' it with my case. Ultimately, I think he's a very popular defense attorney with a lot of clients (and he will keep getting clients with his reputation - not necessarily a bad thing). Probably too many clients. Maybe he needs a vacation. I get the sense that if you're a 'squeaky wheel' or you have a strong case, he'll devote his energies to you. If not, expect him to remember who you are just as he's walking toward you in the courtroom. I say all these things as someone who has never been in trouble. This case was highly emotional, personal, and taxing for me. There were many times Mr. Ramputi could have been MUCH more proactive (calling sooner, getting a signed document when I requested it, not prolonging trials) and, just by calling or contacting when he said he would, could have saved days - even weeks - of the grief my family and I had to go through just to wait....and wait....

We hired Mr Ramputi for a very important case which the person charged was totally overcharged and had no supposed victims willing to testify. Did most of the leg work ourselves , could never get in touch with him, he never returned phone calls and would show up at court either exactly on time or lat...e so we had no time to communicate. we went to court each time not knowing what to expect. For his total time in court approx 30 mins it cost us $10,700 .trust me there was no work done out of court. Totally overchaged for BAD representation!

I live and work here in the Ocala area, and about 2 years ago had Mr. Ramputi represent me in a local action. In my opinion there is not a more down to earth, level headed Attorney that I have ever met, (I presently work for a competitor of his). It just goes to show that the word gentleman, is a... very good word to best describe Mr Ramputi , and I feel that the word Gentleman carries big expectations when describing someone. ARE you kidding???? I can't believe there are not many rave reviews here! Thank You Mr. Ramputi ,for you help. You truly are a Gentleman
