Do not trust this attorney! If you do whatever you do don't pay him all of the money up front!!

If there was a negative star rating I would gladly use it however that's not an option. Michael Hollander was hired to defend my son who was falsely accused of a crime. He was paid a substantial amount of money in the tens of thousands of dollars up front and over the year and a half that this case d...rug on are requests for having the judge recused because of bias or ignored. Our requests for him to get the cell phone data from my son's phone we're ignored. It took us 8 months of hounding him to get a bond hearing to which she refused to even argue that my son turned himself in when the judge said he was a flight risk. And ultimately after countless requests for something to be done about the lies the detective told on the arrest off of David and I'm was constantly told by Mike Hollander said it wasn't important it didn't matter instead of filing a motion to suppress or any other kind of motion to help my son he again did nothing. I've asked four times since April of this year for a detailed billing of all the work done on my son's case as well as an entire copy of his case file and after for requests since April have gotten no response whatsoever. He is legally obligated to provide that and yet chooses to ignore it. He may be saw my son five times in a year and a half and then didn't show up that many times or more when he said he would with no explanation. He was arrogant condescending rude and dismissive. He bullied my son out of fear into taking a plea deal that was not beneficial to him in any way shape or form and anybody with a brain cell that functions in their head should have known this. The alleged victim changed her story during her deposition leaving them with no case since that was their only evidence in the first place and rather than file for a motion to dismiss they forced a plea deal that was absolutely not beneficial to him down his throat. I have heard from other individuals that have hired him of having similar experiences in criminal cases. My recommendation is look outside of this County for an attorney for an attorney if you need an attorney for a criminal case! They spoke a good game to get their $45,000 up front to turn around and do nothing after getting it. My son is now sitting in prison for a four-year sentence on a charge that has a maximum sentence of 5 years and less than 10 people a year in the State of Florida are sentenced to prison for that charge. That's not a plea deal that's a travesty of Justice. That was deliberate on his defense attorney's part. Not only that he had to pay $2,000 restitution for something he did not do they know he didn't do the state knows he didn't do but yet they extorted the $2,000 out of them to avoid probation after sitting in prison for 4 years and after he sat in jail for a year and a half with no bond because this attorney couldn't seem to get him Bond on two tries. If your attorney can't bother to get you Bond maybe you should have a new attorney. This was the most useless and unprofessional attorney that I have even ever heard of dealing with.. you rely on the person that you pay and hire to defend you because that's what you are promised and when that's not delivered and the damage is done what do you do? Don't make them say mistake we did in hoping that they knew what they were doing and it would have the right outcome because that's not going to happen with this guy I can assure you!

Highly recommend him

I just want to take a moment and praise Mike Hollander who was recommended to me by Chris Dunham with Dunham and Ingram (spelling?) Mike Hollander went above and beyond what a lawyer should do. Mr. Hollander took the tone to listen to me and did whatever he could to get me a not guilty verdict that ...was justice for me since I was not guilty of what I was accused of. During the whole process of my case he kept the lines of communication open during business hours and after. He was very diligent and spoke to me like i was Family and was great at encouraging me when I was ready to just walk away the stress of what I was going through and the trial on top of it would at times be hard to handle yet when I talked to him he would always comfort me and encourage me to keep going. During this whole process Mike stood behind me and guided me and supported me. The sentiments stated in one of his reviews that the client felt as if he gained a lifetime friend is the same feelings I have and I would and have recommended Mike and will most definetely use his services again if I ever have a need for a criminal lawyer again which I hopefully will not ever need again... Im extremely happy with the way Mike handled me and my case.... many praises to Mike Hollander... Thanks again Mike for representing me and making me feel like a person and friend and not a client....
