Lack of Professionalism

We were the victims of a drunk driving hit and run case in Maitland Florida (South Orlando Avenue) in 1998. The craziness started when I received a ticket for careless driving. The police officer never got my statement. I was in the hospital and he was going off duty. He questions the man who caused... the accident days later. By the way this person was driving with a suspended license no insurance and an ice chest full of beer. He walked away leaving his car at the scene. He hit us from behind and caused us to spin around what felt like three times. Thank God we hit no one or nothing. We contacted attorney Leon Boyajan to handle the case. This lawyer takes the case, in 2003 he files the case and we wait and wait and wait. We are in constant contact with this man. In 2005 State farms lawyers file to close the case for lack of prosecution.. Apparently this lawyer had not done anything with the case for one year. That same year my husband, a physician is paid by attorney Boyajan for work on a case. Dec 2005 attorney Boyajan files the case in the county of the accident. The appeal was dismissed for lack of jurisdiction, so we cannot do anything with this case since it's statues of limitations had ended. We hire an attorney to sue this attorney for malpractice. We do not know that lawyers do not have to purchase malpractice insurance. Our new lawyer files this malpractice case on Nov 2007. http://search.clerk.citrus.fl.us/courts/cvwebasp/cvweb2.asp?ucase_id=87321650 He has been ordered by the judge to show up in court, he does not. Our attorney files motion for sanctions for failure to comply. The judge keeps letting this man Leon Boyajan get away with no action. Judge continues to cancel. Attorney Boyajan continues to get away with this. The judge doesn't back her orders. Attorney Boyajan has no malpractice insurance and has his assets in his wife’s name so there is little incentive to sue him. Our second lawyer tells us we have to go through more steps in order to get the bar to recognize Leon Boyajan and his failure to practice.
