I've had alot of expierience with Family Law & Divorce Attorneys in the past, as I've been divorced 3-times in the past. Before hiring him, I specifically went over the case with him in detail, to make sure he knew what to do and how to do it. He told me he had several cases like it in the past an...d that it would be QUICK, EASY, and without much difficulty. First, upon signing an attorney agreement with him, I changed some of the agreement before I signed it, because it indicated, that if he solved the case in just a few short hours, he would still be able to KEEP ALL OF THE $1,800 RETAINER FEE. He informed me 6-months into the case, that he NEVER SIGNED THAT AGREEMENT!!! And afterwards, I asked Joe what he thought about the wrongful comments, and he said he didn't HEAR any of them and that I was WRONG. HE HEARD EXACTLY what I heard, but, to save face with his law firm and the judge, he took a stand that only PROTECTED him and his FIRM!!! At 1 court hearing, while we were waiting to go back into the judges chambers and he was on MY TIME, he discussed another case for 20-30 minutes with another client, but BILLED ME FOR THE TIME ANYWAY!!! Another time, he came to court and had brought the WRONG CASE FILE with him and the judge was EXTREMELY UPSET with my case over this. Totally "UNPROFESSIONAL", and that matter ended up causing me to have MORE ATTORNEYS FEES for the case and caused it to drag-on even longer. Then, at the very end of the case, he and his firm REFUSED to call me back on the phone, return my voice mails, or even my emails for 1-MONTH. Then when the time came, he REFUSED to take the extra fees off the bill like he PROMISED. I am only stating the TRUTH WITH FACTS here.....
