Mr Van Sickle took over our case as the third state attorney and plead the case without talking to the victims. He did speak to us but only on the morning that he agreed to let the defendant get away with brutally hanging a Black Lab Service dog from a chicken coop with an extension cord. Really nice... of him! he got basically time served of 4 months in jail and 1 year probation. All of this for killing the service dog, assaulting a minor, assaulting an adult AND working as a contractor without a license, and not filing workers compensation.
