William Elkin Robertson Jr.

Bill Robertson is a Sarasota native following in the proud family tradition of helping others through the practice of law in personal injury, wrongful death and product liability cases.   He is currently the CEO of the law firm of Kirk-Pinkerton and is an AV rated attorney, the highest peer review rating established by Martindale Hubbell, a legal services rating organization. 

He is the fifth generation of lawyers to serve this community, practicing in the same location where his grandfather and great-grandfather started their legal practice in 1925.  Bill’s daughter will carry on the tradition, having recently graduated from law school.  

From 2013 to 2016, he was the host of Let’s Talk Law with Bill Robertson on WSRQ Radio.  His program focused on different areas of the law and on the last Friday of each month, he dedicated his program to Veterans in Sarasota on his show Helping Our Heroes in conjunction with Goodwill Manasota.   In 2015 and again in 2016, Goodwill Manasota honored him as a Goodwill Ambassador.   He is a past board member of the CEO Forum, an organization of entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officers in our area.

He graduated from Riverview High School with the class of 1977 and is a former board member of the Riverview Foundation.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Government from Florida State University in 1981 and studied law at Stetson University, College of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in May of 1984. He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1984 and the Sarasota County Bar Association.  He is a long-time member of the Florida Justice Association, an organization devoted to the representation of injured party's rights in Florida.
