Malcolm J. Pitchford

Malcolm ("Mike") Pitchford is "AV" rated by Martindale Hubbel and represents (1) individuals and businesses in connection with buying, selling and developing real estate (1) financial institutions and borrowers in connection with both residential and complex commercial loans; (2)  borrowers and lenders in loan workouts (3) clients in connection with general business matters.  He issues title insurance and is an agent for numerous title insurance underwriters, is a Board Certified Real Estate Attorney, a member of the American and International Bar Associations (and, in 2006, became enrolled as a Solicitor by the Law Society of England and Wales), a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Circuit Mediator and a Neutral with the American Arbitration Association. Mike formerly served on the Real Estate Certification Committee of the Florida Bar and as Chairman of the Twelfth Judicial Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar.  Mike received his law degree from the University of Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1974. He is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar and is also a member of the Business Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Sections of the American Bar Association.  Mike is also a member of the following committees of the American Bar Association : Banking Law; Subcommittee on Commercial and Real Estate Lending; Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Law; Subcommittee on Lender's Issues, Multi-Disciplinary Practice, Etics, Professionalism and Public Education: and Loan Practices and Lender Liability'. He is also an affiliate member of the Florida Banker's Association as well as the Gulf Coast Mortgage Banker's Association.

He is a partner with Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, a 215 attorney firm with offices in Florida, Ohio and North Carolina.  Mike is also very active in the community, having served for a number of years  as a member of the Board of Directors of the Child Protection Center.
