Richard Douglas Lyons

Richard, who served as general counsel to legendary New York Yankee owner, George M. Steinbrenner, moved to Southwest Florida in January 1998. He gained valuable experience with Cummings & Lockwood and Bond and Schoeneck & King law firms, before joining his father to form Lyons & Lyons, P.A. in 2003.

Richard’s Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration degrees from the University of Florida and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Transactions degree from the University of Alabama provide the educational base for Richard to counsel his clients in all aspects of business and transactional matters.

Accordingly, such specialized knowledge allows Richard to serve the needs of business owners and professionals throughout the life cycle of a business venture, including the formation and choice of business entity, financing in the growth phase, possible reorganizations and mergers for maturing businesses, and the law effecting succession and dissolution.
