Mother, life tenant, applied for reverse mortgage from Countrywide (now Bank of America). Netco Title falsely reported to Countrywide that Mother owned home in fee simple. After Mother's death, Bank ...of America (and Nationstar/Champion, the successor in interest) wrongfully attempted to enforce the reverse mortgage lien against Daughter, reversionary interest holder. During suit, house was destroyed in fire, and insurance proceeds were wrongfully withheld from Daughter, rightful owner. Suit was brought for Declaratory Judgment, Negligence, Slander of Title, and Conversion of Insurance proceeds.
