Client was charged with a felony, specifically, Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm (Minn. Stat. Sec. 624.713.1(2). I researched, drafted, and submitted a Motion to Suppress Evidence (the g ... un) arguing that it was obtained with an illegal/unconstitutional search and seizure under both the U.S. Constitution and Minnesota State Constitution. At the evidentiary hearing I cross examined two police officers, which revealed several crucial facts supporting my argument. The court granted the Order suppressing the evidence, and the prosecutor subsequently dismissed the case.

Client was charged with a felony, specifically, Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm (Minn. Stat. Sec. 624.713.1(2). I researched, drafted, and submitted a Motion to Suppress Evidence (the g ... un) arguing that it was obtained with an illegal/unconstitutional search and seizure under both the U.S. Constitution and Minnesota State Constitution. Specifically, and in part, I argued that the police officers did not have the reasonable articulable suspicion of criminal activity necessary to legally arrest my client. At the evidentiary hearing I cross examined the two arresting police officers. The officers admitted to several crucial facts which greatly helped support my argument. The court granted the Order suppressing the evidence, and the prosecutor subsequently dismissed the case.
