Timothy Allan McCan II

Timothy A. McCan, II (“TJ”) has focused his practice in Divorce, Marital, and Family Law since graduating from law school. TJ handles dissolution of marriage (divorce), prenuptial agreements, marital settlement agreements, paternity, custody, child support, and domestic violence injunctions. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

TJ was recognized by the American Institute of Legal Advocates (2018) as a “Rising Star”, as a “Best Attorney” by the Best Attorneys of America (2017-2018) and also nominated by his peers as one of Lee County’s best dressed attorneys. TJ was also selected to be one of 29 attorneys in the State of Florida to be a Fellow in the Florida Bar’s William Reece Leadership Academy for the 2018-2019 class.

Prior to joining The Family First Legal Group, TJ founded the family law section of prominent local law firm, he established a successful solo practice in 2018, and also worked in a boutique family law firm where he worked with a Board Certified Family Law attorney on complex and high net worth divorce cases in Lee, Charlotte and Collier counties.

TJ is originally from Noblesville, Indiana, but has called Southwest Florida his home since 2007, when he relocated to attend Florida Gulf Coast University (GO EAGLES!). TJ has his Bachelors of Science in Business Management and obtained his J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. When not working, TJ enjoys traveling, orangetheory, and spending time with his Husband and their two dogs, Stanley and Olive.
