About Matthew
Biography
As a founding member at Kirkland Hochstetler PLLC, I specialize in advising businesses and families on their estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters. I am an ACTEC Fellow and earned an LLM in Estate Planning from the best program in the nation, the University of Miami School of Law's Heckerling Graduate Program. These achievements place me in the top level of the trusts-and-estates practice.
I am also an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trusts. This certification demonstrates my desire to be your legal subject matter expert in all aspects of estate planning.
Balancing professional expertise with a personal touch, I carefully listen to my clients’ wishes for the legacy they desire to leave to their communities and families. I approach client matters with the guidance of a teacher, and strive to help them understand the intricacies of wills, trusts, and other estate-planning options. After I understand their wishes, we collaborate on a customized plan that best suits their needs.
I am actively involved in bar association committees and have written legislation relative to estate planning, and have authored and co-authored numerous published articles.
