About Christopher
Biography
Chris assists clients by developing their estate plan, including drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, living wills and health care surrogates, and advises clients on estate tax and gift tax minimization strategies. His estates practice includes estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate tax planning, and selective estate and trust litigation. Chris also represents probate and trust administration clients throughout Florida.
Because estate planning and administration often involves real estate and closely held business interests, Chris assists clients with the transfer, sale, and management of these assets including complying with FIRPTA regulations. As part of Chris’s property practice, he represents clients involved in federal tax audits and appeals as well as tax-treaty compliance matters for international decedents owning U.S. real estate.
Chris is licensed to practice in Florida and New York. He also holds an AV rating, the highest rating by Martindale-Hubbell in the areas of Trusts and Estates, Taxation and Wills and Probate.
Chris has lived and practiced in Southwest Florida since 2006. In his free time, Chris enjoys running, biking, and swimming, and fishing with his wife and two sons.
After graduating from Florida State University, Chris worked as a travel aide to Florida Treasurer and Insurance Commissioner Tom Gallagher. While in law school, Chris interned with U.S. District Court Judge James Lawrence King in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and with Circuit Court Judge Mel Grossman in the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
