Danielle Marie Simmons

Danielle Simmons is a highly successful, self-starter with a passion for advancing society through research and technology. Danielle received her Juris Doctorate degree from Ave Maria School of Law focusing her studies on intellectual property law and taxation law. While attending law school, Ms. Simmons was dedicated to providing the community with exceptional tax services by developing and supervising Ave Maria’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) clinic.

Ms. Simmons graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor chemistry and obtained her Doctorate in Philosophy in structural biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. During her graduate career she conducted research at the Hauptman Woodward Medical Research Institute where became familiar with multiple scientific techniques in chemistry, biology and physics focusing on rational drug design and membrane protein crystallography. She conducted her research was under the direction of numerous well renown scientists including Dr. Herbert Hauptman who was awarded the 1985 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Ms. Simmons was awarded the Chung Soo Yoo award for best graduate student presentation and was ranked in the top 10% among the entering class of the school of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
