Raymond Joseph Bowie

Recently used attorney Bowie for a mortgage refinancing. I was needed to be out of town on the closing date. The staff told me it was no problem and they could do a very "perfunctory" power of attorney so my wife could sign on my behalf. They never disclosed they would charge me $800 for this simp...le form letter that i could have downloaded from the internet and filled out for free. I could have flown back and attended for less cost than what they charged. When I complained, they accused me of bullying a sole proprietor and basically said tough luck. If you use Bowie, be careful, as they will give you the impression that something simple as a POA is included, and then deduct it from the proceeds and have the money already. Bowie never even bothered to get on the phone or come out of his office when i went there to speak to him about the issue.
