I need an attorney for my divorce in 1995. Cary was a good listener and was ready to move things along with the opposing lawyer and my wife. What should have been quick and simple was dragged out due to wife's unrealistic expectations and desire to create dramatic pressure. Cary didn't let this tacti...c change our plan, nor lead to unnecessary and ongoing fees. He also encouraged me to have patience and wait it out. He believed in me and the facts. I can’t say enough good things about Cary. I am not going to get to the specifics of my case, but I will say it had to do with false allegations and my daughter could have been seriously negatively affected if we lost the case, which we didn’t. Cary knowledge in family law is second to none and he ...is easy going lawyer who makes you feel very comfortable even though the stakes are very high. He is also very generous with his billing hours as he does a lot of work through texts and emails, therefore is able to work on other cases while he is sitting in court waiting for your case to be called. Other lawyers will bill for the full time they sit in the courtroom waiting for your case to be heard, but Cary only bills for the time he is actually working on the case. If you need a family lawyer, hire him. You will not be disappointed.

I have known Cary Cliff for over 16 years. I first met him when I was a Guardian ad Litum and a member of the Citizens Foster Care Review Board. At the time, I had no need for a lawyer. But unfortunately, the time did come when I needed to fight for my right as a single mom to move from Florida to... Tennessee, where my fiancee' resided. I had witnessed Cary in the courtroom on multiple occasions and was always impressed at how hard he fought for his clients (and I should say we were NOT always on the "same side of the fence" in certain cases!). I did not even think twice about who I wanted representing me when I needed someone! I did not need him again for 6 years, but when I did, he was incredibly supportive, and though it was just a phone call, he didn't even send me a bill! Sadly, over the last three years we have been in a nasty battle with my son's father. Cary has spent COUNTLESS hours on my case. More importantly though, he has spent sooo much time with ME ... listening, advising, and comforting this sometimes hysterical mother! He gave me his cell phone number and has always taken my calls (even the weekend ones!) One Saturday when I was especially upset he went to his office just to double check on something for me! I have ALWAYS felt that Cary was 100% on my side and available for me. On one occasion Amanda, his paralegal, called to set up a time for him to talk to me because he knew I was upset and needing reassurance (and he didn't even charge me for the phone call!) I wanted to give so much detail on this review because I think it's important when you're reviewing a professional who is as important as a family lawyer, to have an HONEST review. And this one is. There is nothing more important than when you're fighting for the safety and well-being of your children. I can say with 100% certainty that Cary will fight for his clients with all he's got.

I was a client of Mr. Cliff's for over a year. He was impossible to reach and more than difficult to communicate with. He was incredibly unprepared for trial. He blatantly "forgot" to submit calendars I provided as evidence nearly a year before the hearing that were the crux of our case and were to ...be available for me to testify from. He was not allowed to ask me or any other witness about them because he simply never submitted them. I have since hired a competent attorney who has given me truthful and accurate information. His staff did their very best and I have nothing negative I say about them. He was costly and inefficient.
