Evading Police in a Vehicle in Nueces County
N/AOUTCOME: Not Guilty
This was the first case that I took to trial. My client was arrested and the police officer said she drove through a car port, swerved out of the trailer park, and sped off down the road. In trial, ... we showed that the police officer lied in his report. The car port had no damage on it and was actually smaller than my client's vehicle. There were no tire marks at the scene and the exit to the trailer park would not have made a swerve easy. And a private security camera showed that they were driving at normal speeds. All that information had to be discovered by me. The police officer wrote his report and expected to never be questioned. This information was given with consent of my client.
