Mr. Hevia was retained by me for my divorce (which was a bitter, ugly battle). He went above and beyond for me. Mr. Hevia would meet with me on my schedule sometimes on weekends and late evenings (not during his business hours). He would call me as updates came in to set our plans – which constantly changes as the opposing counsel had three full time attorneys and a para-legal that would shoot constant request for compliance (a tactic to get Mr. Hevia to foul up on paperwork – which did not work: Mr. Hevia and his staff were EXTREMELY COMPETENT, AND EFFICIENT). Mr. Hevia has solid knowledge and experience that was beneficial in getting a GREAT outcome for myself and my son. For what other attorneys charge and for what you get, Jesus M. Hevia is a bargain!

I have known Attorney Hevia for more than 20 years and have conferred with him multiple times regarding legal issues. He always gives straight forward answers, sound legal counseling at a reasonable rate. I certainly will confer with him in the future on other legal issues.

I used him years ago and he was good while he was with a very large and reputable firm. I went back to him for help with a divorce. He was terrible and would only talk if cash walked in the door for anything that needed to be done and this was after a hefty retainer was given. He would get upset when I asked for recapitalization of his expenses.
He would blame his secretary, the computer program or anything else to avoid showing where the money went. He was best friends with opposing counsel and would often leave his office to go visit the opposing counsel next door after I talked with him in confidence. Or he would be leaving the opposing counsels office right before I would meet with him. He did more work and negotiating on behalf of my ex than he did for me.
He was very rude and demeaning to his secretary in front of me and other clients when I was in his office. He seemed lost as what needed to be done. He didn't care for pertinent documentation that I would provide for him about the case.
He wanted a quick settlement for my divorce that involved a ton of assets and money. He forced a marital settlement agreement on me at the 11th hour because it was "good" for all involved.
DON'T USE HIM....SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! If he hears you have $$$, he'll bleed you dry.
On the other hand, his secretary rocks and was very honest. I got more information about my case from her than I did him. WORSE ATTORNEY EXPERIENCE.....EVER!!!!
