Veronica is a Florida attorney whose practice is built on a client-centered approach, with a strong commitment to protecting the rights of individuals facing financial and personal crisis. As a former assistant public defender, she handled thousands of Baker Act cases, passionately defending the constitutional rights of some of the state’s most vulnerable residents.

During her years in public defense, Veronica conducted felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile trials, engaged in extensive motion practice, and advocated for clients in alternative courts including mental health court and drug court, where treatment and rehabilitation were prioritized over punishment.

Now in private practice, Veronica focuses on bankruptcy law and consumer protection litigation, while continuing to consult and handle Baker Act cases for individuals and families navigating Florida’s complex mental health system. She represents clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, and aggressively pursues claims involving automatic stay violations, post-discharge collection, unfair debt collection practices (FCCPA/FDCPA), and credit reporting errors (FCRA).

Veronica frequently sues creditors who violate state or federal law during or after bankruptcy and works to ensure clients receive the fresh start they are legally entitled to.

She is admitted to practice in Florida and the United States Supreme Court, and she is passionate about making the legal system a place where everyday people can reclaim control over their lives.
